Start of the 2026/27 season
In the opening game of the new season Philadelphia lost to Pittsburgh 0:7. According to iDNES.cz, Vladař stopped 31 shots and let in seven; coach Tocchet did not criticise him and faulted the team for a lack of intensity in battles for the puck.[2] In the next game the Flyers lost 1:4 away to Tampa Bay, with Vladař facing 32 shots and conceding three goals.[1] After four games the team had two points from two overtime losses.[1] Vladař said that he has to be better and that it starts with him and Joseph Woll.[1]
