The corruption case surrounding the transport company DPMLJ concerns mainly the years 2016 to 2018. Investigators have charged more than three dozen people and companies in it.[1][2]

Plea agreements

Six people and five companies earlier concluded plea agreements with the state prosecutor's office, which the courts approved. The court imposed a fine on all of them and a suspended sentence on some.[1][2] In connection with the case surrounding the carrier BusLine, the court approved plea agreements.[2]

According to the police

The police regard the accused businessman as the central figure of the case. According to the police's findings, the businessman tried to covertly influence the running of the Liberec transport company in his own favour through the former director of DPMLJ and the former chairman of the board, who was also a Liberec councillor for ANO. Both were charged in the case.[1][2] The former chairman of the board was convicted with final effect two years ago and received a suspended sentence and a fine of CZK 2.21 million.[1][2]

Main trial

The hearing before the Regional Court in Liberec began on 2 November 2026 for the former director of the transport company and for the businessman whom the police regard as the central figure of the case.[1][2] The presumption of innocence applies to the accused.
